Dr Sandie Earl
To follow my dreams in the world of dentistry, both as a practitioner and educator in a holistic way. To provide the best care and current knowledge to my family and patients that I can, so they feel safe and trusting., whilst being fair, honest and sharing my knowledge. To give back to the word, being mindful and grateful; to help make it a better place for us all.
I am the owner and principal dentist of the practice. I graduated in 1977 in NZ, and have in Australia since 1979. I have a BA and am currently studying with the International Academy of Orthodists to become an instructor.
My practice is heavily involved in early interceptive orthodontics; TMD; Sleep Dentistry and Myofunctional Therapy.
I first started my practice in High Street, which I sold; attempting retirement some 8 years ago now; and relocating to my now premises on Richardson Road 5 years ago.
My philosophy is to have a well educated team around you to assist in all aspects of patient care and education. If a team is educated, they will know what is going on as well. Without a good team, one cannot lead them to higher skills.
Dr Richard Gill
Dr. Gill has over 30 years of experience as a dentist, which spans from owning his own practices in a group environment, as a sole owner, as well as an associate dentist, in four states of Australia. This has provided a vast degree of experience in what treatment options are offered to patients, as well as a diverse range of issues which patients may present with, seeking solutions. He has also worked in Aboriginal Medical Services and briefly in remote public health.
Dr. Gill has also been involved in genuine innovation in dentistry and elite level sport in off-field capacities and looks forward to returning to some similar roles in the near future, in and around his new role at Sandie Earl Dental. He has worked off-field, including being team dentist, with international rugby, NRL level rugby league, as well as AFL level Australian Rules football. He was also chosen to be on the medical programme at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, as well as having worked with state and federal sports research facilities.
Practice Manager / Certified Myobrace Educator
My role is to assist with front desk duties, in surgery with Sandie and also our expanding Myofunctional Pre-Orthodontic Programme. I enjoy the variety that I am able to experience on a day-to day basis and helping create beautiful smiles.
I joined the team in 2015 after being in the industry for several years. Having come from a Pathology background, the team encouraged me to challenge myself and start working towards Certification. In June 2018 I successfully completed my Certificate III in Dental Assisting and spend time working in both our front desk and surgery areas.
With our Myofunctional Therapy Programmes expanding and growing I once again hit the books and in November 2019 completed my Myobrace Educator Certification with the MRC (Myofunctional Research Co.).
I look forward to working with all our patients (babies, kids and adults) to help them achieve a great Smile.
