Meet our Staff

Sandie – Owner & Principal Dentist

To follow my dreams in the world of dentistry, both as a practitioner and educator in a holistic way. To provide the best care and current knowledge to my family and patients that I can, so they feel safe and trusting., whilst being fair, honest and sharing my knowledge. To give back to the word, being mindful and grateful; to help make it a better place for us all.
I am the owner and principal dentist of the practice. I graduated in 1977 in NZ, and have in Australia since 1979. I have a BA and am currently studying with the International Academy of Orthodists to become an instructor.
My practice is heavily involved in early interceptive orthodontics; TMD; Sleep Dentistry and Myofunctional Therapy.
I first started my practice in High Street, which I sold; attempting retirement some 8 years ago now; and relocating to my now premises on Richardson Road 5 years ago.
My philosophy is to have a well educated team around you to assist in all aspects of patient care and education. If a team is educated, they will know what is going on as well. Without a good team, one cannot lead them to higher skills.
My role is to assist Sandie both in the surgery and with the TMD Therapy programme. I have worked with Sandie for some time now during which I have completed several courses including Certificate IV in Dental Assisting & Mouth X-Rays, TMJ & Sleep Therapy Education and are currently studying to achieve my Laser Safety Certification.
Taylor – Dental Assistant / TMD Therapy Assistant

Prior to joining the team at Richardson Road I worked within the industry in the local community. I would have to say the things that I enjoy most about what I do is helping people get back on track with their health and the problem solving that is an integral part of our therapy programmes.

I joined the team in 2015 after being in the industry for several years. Having come from a Pathology background, the team encouraged me to challenge myself and start working towards Certification. In June 2018 I successfully completed my Certificate III in Dental Assisting and spend time working in both our front desk and surgery areas.
With our Myofunctional Therapy Programmes expanding and growing I once again hit the books and in November 2019 completed my Myobrace Educator Certification with the MRC (Myofunctional Research Co.).
I look forward to working with all our patients (babies, kids and adults) to help them achieve a great Smile.
I re- joined the practice in 2014 having been away from the dental industry for a number of years. During my time with Sandie my interest in our Healthy Bodies – Healthy Smiles has been encouraged with training in Myofunctional Therapy, Functional Breathing, Tethered Oral Tissues and Facial Aesthetics.
I enjoy the variety that encompasses our everyday duties and the challenges that come with breaking the habits of a lifetime.
Kerry – Certified Myobrace Educator / Breathing Retrainer

My role is to assist with front desk duties and as a Certified Myobrace Educator assist Sandie with the day-to-day running of our Myofunctional Pre-Orthodontic Programme which combines the use of Myobrace Appliances and Functional Breathing Retraining exercises. I am often called upon to assist our families with information regarding Tethered Oral Tissues and our Laser procedures which we carry out in our clinic.
